April 23 Children’s Day, in Turkey is a unique event. The founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, presented April 23 to all the world’s children to emphasize that they are successors of the future. Children’s Day was first officially declared as a national holiday by the Republic of Turkey in 1920. Historically on this day, Grand National Assembly met in Ankara and laid down the foundations of a new, independent, secular and modern Turkish Republic from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire.
TAFSUS Board congratulates all the children and we would like to share the video below from all the participating children that shared artwork and photographs.
